Ejike Obinna each posted double-doubles as Saint Joseph's topped George Washington, 72-61, at Hagan Arena. Wednesday's victory also marked the 150th career win for Saint Joseph's head coach
Billy Lange.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's jumped out to a 9-4 lead on a three-pointer by Reynolds II.
• The Colonials battled back to tie the game at 14-14 on a layup by Qwanzi Samuels.
• George Washington jumped ahead 28-26, but the Hawks used a 12-2 run to push back in front, 38-30, on a three-pointer by Funk with 1:13 left in the first half.
• St. Joe's extended its lead to 11 points early in the second half, but the Colonials made it  a five-point contest, 49-44, on a layup by Joe Bamisile at 11:23.
• A layup by Obinna sparked a 14-2 run, as a pair of free throws by Reynolds II gave the Hawks a 63-46 edge.
• St. Joe's held George Washington at a distance from there, allowing the Colonials to get no closer than 10 points in the final minutes.

• Reynolds II surpassed his previous high of 17 points as he went 8-of-15 from the floor, including 1-of-5 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the line for 19 points on the evening.
• Funk finished the game with a team-best 22 points and added 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
• Obinna earned his fifth double-double of the year as he grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds and scored 16 points.

Jordan Hall finished with a game-high nine assists and chipped in with six rebounds and four points.
• Saint Joseph's shot 43.9 percent from the floor (29-of-66), while George Washington shot 40.6 percent (26-of-64).
• The Hawks led for 32:54 of the contest.
