NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph's Laura Ziegler has been selected as Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the fourth consecutive time, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Ziegler has swept the category this season, the 13th straight week the Hawks have claimed the award.

The Danish forward again proved her value on both ends of the court, averaging 7.5 points and 7.0 rebounds over the course of the week as the Hawks went 2-0 to remain undefeated, the 8-0 start the best in program history since the record-setting 10-0 start in 1984-85. Ziegler also added four assists and two blocks.
 
Ziegler proved vital in one of the most tense games of the season for the Hawks, helping down Boston University 65-61 last Thursday. The rookie posted 12 rebounds, setting a career-high and a season-best amongst all Hawks. She also added four points and two assists against the Terriers, her lone block coming on the last defensvie possession of the game to save a potential game-tying attempt.
 
In her third contest against a City 6 foe, Ziegler added 10 points and a season-low three rebounds, but shot at an effiecient 50.0% clip from the field while adding two more assists and another block. Against Philadelphia teams, Ziegler is averaging 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds. 
 
The Hawks return to action twice this week, both being short road trips. SJU starts with a Wednesday matchup at Rider before meeting Villanova for the 48th time in program history.
