PRINCETON, N.J. – Chloe Georges breaking her own indoor school record in the weight throw highlighted the USciences track & field team wrapping up its indoor season at the Princeton Invitational on Sunday.
The graduate student's mark of 13.57m was over a meter further than her previous indoor best, and put her fifth in the field of 13.
Georges was one of one of four Devils to set new indoor bests on the day, highlighted by Moses Allie placing 10th out of 24 in the 60m with a time of 7.35.
Allie (23.74) also placed 10th in a field of 30 in the 200m, where Sian Poteat-Romero ran an indoor best of 24.68 to place in the top half of the field as well.
Hailey Swaldi was the fourth Devil with an indoor best after marking at 8.79m in the triple jump.
William Hallinan crossed eighth in a field of 29 in the 800m after completing the race in 2:05.44.
The men's 4x400m quartet of Bedak, Abdallah Elbready, Hallinan and Poteat-Romero notably placed fourth in a field of nine.
University of the Sciences has nearly a month off before its outdoor season begins at the University of Mary Washington Opener on March 19.
