PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team dropped a 5-0 result to a tough LIU squad at the Legacy Indoor Tennis Facility on Saturday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The visiting Sharks took the early lead via the doubles point with a sweep of all three flights.
• LIU then claimed victories in the first four singles flights to be completed, ending the match with a 5-0 margin.
HAWK TALK
"We were swept tonight, but they had to work very hard to get the job done," head coach
Ian Crookenden said. "Against a superior team with a win over Fordham already this season, I was very proud of the squad's grit, courage, and level of play, which they raised to meet the competition. No hanging of heads after this battle. Even though we clinched at 0-5, the game scores indicate a much closer contest. It was great preparation for Lafayette next Saturday."
