TAMPA, Fla. – Saint Joseph's
Taylor Marinelli and
Karlee Smith each went 2-for-3 in Sunday's USF Tournament finale versus Fairfield, but a late run lifted the Stags to a 2-1 victory over the Hawks.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's got on the board in the bottom of the second as Smith singled home
Kaelin Cash to make it 1-0.
• Fairfield tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fourth on a fielder's choice by Evie Wright.
• Lauryn Rhinehart delivered the game-wining run for the Stags in the top of the sixth with a RBI single that scored Ella Watson.
