DAVIDSON, N.C. – Saint Joseph's
Erik Reynolds II scored a team-high 20 points, but Davidson outlasted the Hawks in overtime, 73-67, on Wednesday evening at Belk Arena.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's used a 9-2 run to open a 15-9 edge on a layup by Reynolds II at 11:32.
• A pair of free throws by
Taylor Funk made it 29-16 with 8:00 left in the first half.
• Davidson cut the deficit to 32-27, but St. Joe's responded with back-to-back buckets from Reynolds II and
Ejike Obinna to push ahead 36-27.
• A three-pointer by Reynolds II extended Saint Joseph's lead to 44-33 less than four minutes into the second half.
• The Wildcats answered back using a 9-1 run to make it 45-42 on a jumper by Michael Jones at 12:34.
• A three-point play by Foster Loyer gave Davidson its first lead of the second half, 49-48 with 9:27 to play.
• Down 58-57, Funk connected on a three-pointer to push the Hawks back ahead, 60-58, with 2:11 to go.
• Loyer connected on a pair of free throws to tie the game at 60-60 at 1:53.
 • Neither team scored in the final moments of the second half as St. Joe's shot at the buzzer fell short.
• In overtime, Davidson took a 64-62 lead, but a three-pointer by Reynolds II flipped the lead back to the Hawks, 65-64, with 2:29 left.
• The Wildcats scored five consecutive points to regain the advantage, 69-65.
• A layup by Funk made it a 69-67 in the final minute, but the Wildcats closed the game out at the foul line going 4-of-4 in the final 16 seconds.

• Reynolds II finished with his third consecutive 20-point game, going 7-of-14 from the floor, 4-of-8 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the line for 20 points
• Obinna had his sixth double-double of the year, scoring 16 points to go with a game-high 13 rebounds.

Cameron Brown posted his second double-double of the season as he grabbed 12 boards and added 10 points.
• Funk was the fourth Hawk in double figures as he scored 16 points.
•
Jordan Hall played all 45 minutes and handed out a game-high five assists to go with five points and five rebounds.
• The Hawks held Davidson to just 2-of-23 from three-point range.
• Wednesday's contest marked the first overtime game of the season for the Hawks.
