PITTSBURGH – Lauren Figura tallied a career-high seven goals to lead Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse to an 11-7 victory Friday evening over Duquesne. The Hawks move to 5-4, 1-0 A-10, while the Dukes drop to 3-5, 0-1 A-10.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Hawks jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first 15 minutes of play.
- The teams traded the first two goals of the second stanza before Figura scored three-straight for the Hawks to extend the lead to 5-2. Duquesne ended the half with a score with three seconds remaining to cut the deficit to 5-3.
- After seven minutes and change of scoreless play, St. Joe's scored to make it 8-3. The Dukes recorded two scores in 14 seconds to pull closer at 8-5. The teams traded goals over the final 1:06 for a 9-6 St. Joe's lead after three.
- Thirty-one seconds into the final frame, the home team scored to pull within two. SJU claimed two scores over a 2:16 span for go up 11-7 with 8:32 left for the final.

- Figura ended with the seven scores, three ground balls, and a caused turnover.
- Sophia Kolkka had a well-rounded performance with four ground balls, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
- Riley Evans notched two scores and corralled four draw controls.
- Rilea Fusco and Maggie Davidson each tallied a score.
- Riley Delaney scooped up four ground balls and forced three turnovers.
- In net, Jorden Concordia picked up the win with six saves and seven goals against.
