DAYTON, Ohio – Saint Joseph's
Madison Fife went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored to help propel the Hawks past Dayton, 7-4, on Sunday for a series sweep of the Flyers.
How It Happened
• The Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as
Kayla Tauber scored from second on a RBI single by Fife.
• Fife sparked a four-run third inning for the Hawks with a RBI single that scored
Carly Rybinski.
• An error by the Flyers allowed Tauber to score and make it 3-0 on a ball hit by
Kaelin Cash.
•
Lauren Pscolka capped the inning with a two-run double that plated Fife and
Sarah Cancila to make it 5-0.
• A two-run single by Dayton's Quinn Pallardy brought the Flyers to within 5-2 in the bottom of the third.
• Cancila singled home Tauber in the top of the fourth to give St. Joe's a 6-2 advantage.
• The Flyers cut the Hawks' lead in half, 6-4, on a two-run single by Ali Weekley in the bottom of the fourth.
• Fife gave Saint Joseph's an insurance run in the top of the sixth with a solo home run.Â
