Softball Tripped Up At Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Saint Joseph's Jordan Hinkle went 2-for-3, but the Hawks dropped their midweek matchup at Villanova, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
• The Wildcats scored four runs in the bottom of the first on a bases-loaded hit by pitch, two bases-loaded walks, and a RBI single by Dani Dabroski.
• A solo home run by Paige Rauch extended Villanova's lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the second.
• Rauch scored on a sacrifice fly by Megan Kern in the bottom of the fourth, and on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth to account for Villanova's final two runs.

Inside The Boxscore
• Emily Siler moved to 5-7 on the year as the Hawks' starter allowed four earned runs.
• Amanda Herr tossed 4.0 innings of relief, striking out three, while allowing two earned runs.
• Saige Stutz struck out three in 2.0 innings of work.
• Taylor Marinelli was 1-for-3 at the plate.
