PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse claimed its third-straight victory Saturday afternoon with a 15-10 beating of Monmouth. SJU moves to 4-1 on the season with Monmouth dropping to 1-3.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• St. Joe's jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the game before Monmouth found the back of the net. SJU responded with two more to finish the period up 5-1.
• The home team expanded its lead with four of the first five goals of the second period for a 9-2 lead. Monmouth finished 2-1 for a 10-4 halftime score.
• The visitors ripped off the first two scores of the third period, before St. Joe's took two of the final three to sit ahead 12-7.
• The final period saw six scores for three apiece.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE:

• Carter Page had a game-high five points with four scores and an assist.
• Matt Bohmer (3G), Austin Strazzula (1G, 2A), and Levi Anderson (2G, 1A) all tallied three points.
• Colin Reich (1G, 1A) and Tucker Brown (2G) each had two points.
• Mac McLaughlin (1A), Ryan Overbay (1G), and Patrick Clemens (1G) registered one point. Clemens also had a game-high five caused turnovers.
• Zach Cole went 16-of-24 from the X with a team-high seven ground balls.
• Tucker Almany (4-1) made 10 saves in net.
