Siler Leads Softball To Series-Opening Win At Fordham, 5-0

BRONX, N.Y. – Behind a stellar four-hit shutout by pitcher Emily Siler, the Saint Joseph's softball team topped Fordham, 5-0, Friday afternoon at the Bahoshy Softball Complex.

How It Happened 
• Saint Joseph's took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second as Carly Rybinski scored on a RBI triple by Nicole Bondoc.
• A bases-loaded walk by Kaelin Cash scored Madison Fife to make it 2-0 in the top of the third.
• Sarah Cancila extended the Hawks' lead to 4-0 with a two-run single in the top of the third.
• A RBI single by Jordan Hinkle scored Karlee Smith to make it 5-0 in favor of Saint Joseph's in the top of the fifth.

Inside The Boxscore 
• Siler improved to 8-8 on the year as she scattered four hits, while striking out five in the shutout victory.
• Cancila was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
