BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Levi Anderson posted a career-high seven points Saturday afternoon to lead Saint Joseph's past LIU, 14-10, for the Hawks' sixth-straight win. SJU moves to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in league play, while LIU drops to 6-6, 3-2 NEC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- St. Joe's jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first period of play.
- The Hawks scored the first goal of the second frame before back-to-back by the home team to make it a 4-3 game. SJU opened things up with a 4-1 margin up to the halftime horn to hold an 8-4 advantage.
- LIU pulled closer as it outscored the Crimson & Gray 4-2 in the third to head into the final period down two at 10-8.
- St. Joe's recorded three of the first four goals before the two teams split the final two goals.
