Georges Moves into Fourth in CACC; One of Four Devils to Set CACC Championship Standards Over Weekend

CHESTER, Pa. – The USciences track & field program competed for a third consecutive weekend on Friday and Saturday at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational.

Chloe Georges moved into fourth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with a CACC Championship qualifying standard mark of 34.71m in the hammer to place eighth in a field of 23.

Jennifer Marrero set two collegiate personal records (PR) on the day, including a CACC Championship standard of 9.81m in the shot put for the 12th-furthest throw in a field of 35, in which Georges also placed 16th with a toss of 9.46m. Her other collegiate PR came in the discus (20.86m).

Dylan Zuch set a CACC Championship standard in the 10000m with a collegiate PR of 35.11.47, while Hailey Swaldi cleared a CACC Championship standard 2.30m in the pole vault.

Sian Poteat-Romero (53.78) and Omar Bedak (4:30.60) set respective collegiate PRs in the 400m and 1500m.

University of the Sciences completes a stretch of four straight weekends of competition next Friday at Saturday at Stockton's Osprey Open.
