PHILADELPHIA – Tucker Brown tallied six goals Saturday afternoon to help Saint Joseph's stay ahead of Hobart for a 16-12 victory. The win is the Hawks' fourth-straight and moves their record to 8-2 overall and 3-0 NEC, while Hobart falls to 2-5, 0-3 NEC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hobart took the first two scores of the game before a Hawks' timeout with 12:41 left. St. Joe's finished the stanza with a 5-3 margin to knot things at five apiece heading into the second.
- The Hawks held Hobart scoreless and pushed ahead 10-5 at the break after a five-goal second period.
- SJU took two of the first three scores of the third period and then the Statesmen ripped off five-straight to pull within one at 12-11.
- St. Joe's tallied four unanswered to pull ahead 16-11 with 38 seconds remaining in the game and then Hobart added a score with 20 seconds left.
