PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse fell to #12/13/11 Penn Tuesday evening 13-12 in overtime, behind a 7-3 fourth-quarter push to tie the game at the end of regulation. The Hawks drop to 11-3 overall, while Penn moves to 7-4.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• St. Joe's held a 2-1 lead after the first frame with Levi Anderson notching both scores for the Hawks.
• The Hawks went up by three with a 2-1 margin over the first 7:14 of the second period. Penn answered to cut it back down to two at the end of the half, 6-4.
• SJU expanded its lead with a 3-1 third period to go up 9-5.
• Penn rallied back in the fourth stanza with a 7-3 advantage to tie the game and send it to overtime, despite an attempt with under 20 seconds remaining by the Hawks to notch the game-winner.
• The Quakers scored the deciding goal with 40 seconds remaining in the overtime period.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE:

• Matt Bohmer led the team with four points on two goals and two assists.
• Levi Anderson and Carter Page each registered a hat trick.
• Austin Strazzulla posted a three-point night with a score and two helpers.
• Tucker Brown and Mac McLaughlin each scored once.
• Zach Cole went 15-of-29 from the X with nine ground balls, one goal, and one assist.
• Robbie Seeley (7-1) picked up his first career loss making 13 saves.
