Figura Ties Career Mark in Goals as Women’s Lacrosse Rocks George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. – Lauren Figura tied her career mark of seven goals to lead Saint Joseph's to victory Friday afternoon at George Mason, 16-6. St. Joe's moves to 8-5 overall, 4-1 A-10, while Mason drops to 2-10, 1-4 A-10.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • St. Joe's ripped an 8-0 first period as Figura tallied five of the eight for the Crimson & Gray.
  • Mason closed the gap in the second stanza with a 4-2 advantage for a 10-4 SJU lead at the half.
  • The Hawks extended the lead by one after they outscored the Patriots 3-2 in the third frame.
  • SJU started the running clock in the final period with three unanswered goals.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE:
  • Figura's seven points led all scorers.
  • Maddie Yoder notched her best game as a collegiate player with five points on four scores and an assist.
  • Rilea Fusco (1G, 3A) and Riley Evans (3G, 1A) each tallied four points. Evans won three draw controls and scooped up a ground ball.
  • Bonnie Yu scored once and assisted once.
  • Lisa Ross and Taylor Newman-Farr each handed out a helper.
  • Jorden Concordia (8-5) picked up the decision with 11 saves and just six goals against.
