STATE COLLEGE, Pa.- In its second race of the season the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team competed at the PSU Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday morning.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

• The 6k race took place at Penn State University on the Penn State Golf Course.
• The Hawks placed sixth overall in a field of eight teams.

HOW THE HAWKS FINISHED:

• For the second week in a row, senior Sarah Myers led the way for Crimson and Gray. Myers placed 39^th overall with a time of 22:42.0.
• Rookie Cici Perrone continued to shine as the Hawks second runner. Perrone clocked a time of 22:47.3 to place 42^nd overall.
• Rounding out the scoring performances for St. Joe's were sophomore Ava Curry (53^rd, 23:12.9), junior Becca Millar (61^st, 23:34.4), and junior Alyssa Brinsky (65^th, 23:40.6) 

UP NEXT:
The Hawks have the week off from competition next week and will return to action on Friday September 23 at the TCNJ Invitational. The women's 6k race is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
