BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Strong individual efforts and multiple personal-best performances highlighted the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team's showing at the Paul Short Run on Friday as they tackled the 6K course hosted at Lehigh University.
About the Event
• The Hawks took part in both the Open and Brown divisions, racing on a 6K course.
• The Crimson and Gray finished 11th out of 39 teams.
• 328 runners spanned across the Brown 6K race, while the Open race featured 442 competitors. Ten Hawks participated in the Brown division, and one represented the team in the Open race.
How It Happened (Women's College Brown 6K)
•
Grace Rudder led the Hawks with an outstanding performance in her 6K, crossing the line in 21:52.4, a personal best by over 30 seconds to place 36th overall.
•
Katrina Endres followed with a season-best 22:11.2, securing 61st, while
Sabrina Paz also set a personal record with a 22:18.9 finish for 65th.
•
Khya D'Angelo contributed a season-best performance, completing the race in 22:37.4 for 94th, and
Chloe Care was close behind at 22:40.9, finishing 103rd.
•
Grace Fennell continued the Hawks' strong showing with a personal-best 22:49.0, followed by
Abby Tuturice, who posted a season-best 22:52.3.
•
Carlyn Segrave-Daly crossed in 23:03.8, marking another career best.
• Rounding out the team's performance,
Ali Fink finished with 23:29.8, and
Jonalee Adames in 23:56.6.
How It Happened (Women's Open 6K)
•
Lexi Boyd was the lone Hawk to compete in the open race, finishing with a time of 23:13.4, securing 126th overall.
