RICHMOND, Va. – The 14th-ranked Saint Joseph's field hockey team locked up a postseason berth on Friday night, rolling past Richmond, 4-0, at Crenshaw Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Neither team was able to find the cage during the first quarter, but Saint Joseph's (11-4 overall, 5-0 Atlantic 10) broke through just over a minute into the second as Erika Culp tipped a ball from Sol Borensztein to open the scoring.

• Hailey Bitters doubled the lead with five minutes remaining in the first half, scoring on a corner pass to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead at the break.

• Midway through the third, Annabel Lindemulder padded the advantage on another corner, before Kate Crist sent home a rebound in the fourth quarter to close the scoring.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Janelle Ward and Marith Bijkerk combined for six saves in the shutout, while RIchmond's Kristen Rake made five saves for the Spiders.
