BRONX, N.Y. – Saint Joseph's rookie
Emily Hanrahan's two second half goals helped lift the Hawks' women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Fordham on Sunday afternoon.
How It Happened
• Fordham struck first as Abby Doyle scored from inside a scrum in front of the Hawks' goal to make it 1-0 at 30:04.
• Despite being down a goal entering the second half, Saint Joseph's quickly evened the match at 1-1 as Hanrahan scored at 48:38.
• Hanrahan struck for the eventual game winner at 67:09 as her shot from 10 yards out found the back of the net to make it 2-1.
• Fordham pressed ahead for much of the remaining time, but the Hawks' defense and goalkeeper
Katie Cappelletti turned away all of the Rams' scoring chances.
