Men's Soccer Tripped Up By UMass, 2-1

Fletcher Caponecchia scored his first goal of the season for Saint Joseph's, but two unanswered goals by UMass lifted the visiting Minutemen to a 2-1 win over the Hawks on Saturday evening at Sweeney Field.

How It Happened
• Caponecchia put the Hawks up 1-0 in the third minute as he took a centering pass from Blake Driehuis and deposited a shot into the back of the net.
• UMass' Michael Rojas evened the match at 1-1 at 17:28 on a shot through traffic inside St. Joe's box.
• The two squads entered halftime tied at 1-1.
• The Minutemen struck for the decisive goal at 52:45 on a goal by Mike Willis.
