How It Happened
• The Hawks and Leopards traded baskets over the opening 10 minutes with St. Joe's holding a 21-20 edge.
• Ahead by one, Saint Joseph's used a 9-0 run as a dunk by Fleming pushed the advantage to 30-20.
• Lafayette answered back to cut the Hawks' lead to three, 38-35, at halftime.
• Sparked by a three-pointer by Greer III, Saint Joseph's scored 12 straight points to open a 51-37 lead.
• The Leopards would get no closer than 11 points from there as St. Joe's improved to 84-28 all-time in its season openers.
