Rasheer Fleming has been named the Big 5 Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, organization officials announced on Monday.
Fleming averaged 17 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game, while leading the Hawks to a victory at #18/15 Villanova on Wednesday and the MHS Lift Big 5 Classic title on Saturday with a win over Temple. Against the Wildcats, Fleming posted his first career double-double, scoring 12 points to go with 11 rebounds in the Hawks' 78-65 win. Advancing to the MHS Big 5 Classic title game against the Owls on Saturday, Fleming shined in the championship game, pouring in a career-high 22 points, shooting 8-11 from the field, including 2-4 from distance, while grabbing nine boards and blocking four shots.
