For the second time this season, Saint Joseph's sophomore guard
Erik Reynolds II has been named Big 5 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, organization officials announced on Monday.
Leading Saint Joseph's to a 2-0 record on the week, Reynolds II averaged 24 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 48.4 percent from the field, including 46.7 percent from three-point range. At Loyola Chicago on Wednesday, Reynolds scored 20 of his team-high 24 points in the second half and added two assists, two steals and a rebound in a 83-71 victory. He followed with 24 points, five rebounds and two assists on Saturday as he led the Hawks past George Washington, 81-69.
Reynolds II, who currently leads the Hawks and ranks third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 18.4 points per game, was previously named Big 5 Player of the Week on November 21.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Duquesne.
