For the 10th time this season, Saint Joseph's
Erik Reynolds II surpassed the 20-point mark as the sophomore finished with 21 points, but the Hawks fell to VCU, 88-63, on Tuesday evening at Hagan Arena.
How It Happened
• VCU jumped out to an 8-0 lead, but the Hawks quickly pushed back as a three-pointer by
Kacper Klaczek made it 8-6.
• The Rams countered with an 11-0 run to take a 19-6 advantage.
• Down 38-23, Saint Joseph's closed the first half on a 7-2 run as Reynolds II beat the buzzer to make it 40-30 after 20 minutes.
• Ahead 48-38, VCU scored 10 consecutive points to open a 58-38 lead on a three-pointer by Jayden Nunn at 13:15.
• The Rams held the Hawks at a distance from there, allowing St. Joe's to get no closer than 16.

• Reynolds II was 8-15 from the floor, 3-7 from behind the arc and 2-3 from the foul line for 21 points.

Rasheer Fleming grabbed 11 rebounds to match his season-high and added seven points.
• Klaczek, who returned to the lineup after missing the previous six games with a non-COVID illness, scored five points and had two rebounds and two assists.
