NORFOLK, Va. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday, falling to Old Dominion in both games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Old Dominion (10-1) jumped out to an early lead with three in the first and five in the second.

Ryan Cesarini got the Hawks on the board with a solo home run in the top half of the fourth, but the Monarchs would push the lead to double digits with a three-spot in the bottom of the frame.

• Saint Joseph's (1-5) added one in the fifth on a single by
Conlan Wall before a two-run home run by Hunter Fitz-Gerald made it a 13-2 game.

Brandon Drapeau went deep in the sixth before Fitz-Gerald hit his second two-run shot of the day in the seventh.

Ryan Weingartner closed out the scoring with his first career home run in the top of the ninth.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Blake Morgan got the start and went five innings for the win for ODU, while starter
Domenic Picone took the loss.

• Wall had a pair of hits for the Hawks, while Fitz-Gerald was 5-for-6 with five runs scored and six driven in.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• It was déjà vu all over again for the Monarchs as they opened up a 3-0 lead after one inning.

• The Hawks would put two on in the fourth and again in the sixth, but the hosts evaded the threat each time.

• ODU padded the lead with three-spots in the sixth and seventh innings and two in the eighth.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Sam Armstrong tossed seven shutout innings for ODU to notch the win, while
Will McCausland took the loss for the Hawks.

• Cesarini was 3-for-4 with a trio of singles.
