FAIRFAX, Va. – The Saint Joseph's softball team fell to George Mason, 3-0, in the Hawks' series opener with the Patriots on Saturday at GMU Softball Complex.

• George Mason took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second on a two-run single by Sydney Bales.
• Haley Taormina added an insurance run for the Patriots in the sixth with a RBI single.
