The Saint Joseph's softball team split its doubleheader with Fordham on Wednesday as the Hawks fell in the opener, 3-2, but took game two, 8-5, at SJU Softball Field.
How It Happened - Game One
• Fordham took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth as Bailey Enoch scored from third as teammate Sarah Taffet struck out, but the ball got away from the Hawks.
• Saint Joseph's tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth as
Hailey Malito singled home
Kayla Tauber.
• The Rams retook the lead, 2-1, on a RBI groundout by Bella Ayala in the top of the sixth.

Kaelin Cash connected on a solo home run to right in the bottom of the sixth to tie the contest at 2-2.
• Enoch doubled home Michaela Carter to put Fordham back ahead, 3-2, in the top of the seventh.
• Saint Joseph's would load the bases with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, but Fordham got a strikeout to end the game.

Emily Siler moved to 8-11 on the season as she allowed two earned runs on seven hits, while striking out 11.

• Sydney Wells doubled home Michaela Carter to give the Rams a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
• Cash tied the game in the bottom of the first with a solo home run.

Erica Lawrence to extend the lead to 3-1 in the second inning.
• Tauber followed with a RBI single that scored

• A two-run single by Cash capped a four-run second for the Hawks as they jump ahead 6-1.
• A three-run home run by Wells brought the Rams to within 6-4 in the top of the third.
• A solo home run by Fordham's Amanda Carey made it a one-run game, 6-5, in the fourth inning.
• St. Joe's added a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth on a two-run single by Tauber that made it 8-5.
