The Saint Joseph's softball team rallied late on Sunday afternoon against Saint Louis, but the Billikens were able to hold off the Hawks' charge for a 2-1 victory at SJU Softball Field.
How It Happened
• Gabbie Kowalik gave the Billikens a 1-0 lead with a RBI triple in the top of the third.
• Kowalik came around to score on a wild pitch to push Saint Louis' lead to 2-0.
•
Nicole Bondoc brought the Hawks to within 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth as she scored from third on a passed ball.
• Saint Joseph's would get the leadoff batter on to start the bottom of the seventh, but the Billikens allowed the Hawks' runner to get no further than second base before closing out the game.
