NEWARK, Del. – The Saint Joseph's softball team jumped out to a 4-0 lead on Delaware on Wednesday afternoon, but the host Blue Hens rallied for 12 unanswered runs to prevail, 12-4.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as
Kaelin Cash singled home
Meghan Sinkus.
• Cash scored on a RBI single by
Jessica Gaughan to make it 2-0.

Payton Baxter made it 3-0 later in the first as she scored on a throwing error by Delaware on a stolen base by Gaughan.
•
Madison Fife singled home Gaughan to extend the Hawks' advantage to 4-0.
• The Blue Hens answered back in the bottom of the second as they scored six runs on five hits to take a 6-4 lead.
• After a RBI double in the bottom of the fourth made it 7-4, Delaware took advantage of a Saint Joseph's error in the fifth to score a run and up its lead to 8-4.
• A four-run bottom of the sixth capped the win for the Blue Hens.
