Hawks Welcome Davidson to Hagan Arena

PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's basketball returns home for the first time in nearly two weeks, taking on Davidson in an Atlantic 10 matchup on Saturday afternoon in Hagan Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Hawks continued their winning ways on the road, moving to 10-0 away from home and winning the fifth-straight game of the year with a 65-40 thrashing of St. Bonaventure on Wednesday.
• St. Joe's opened up on a 11-4 run before using a 14-2 advantage in the second quarter to build a 19-point halftime lead. Despite a late rally in the third quarter that saw the hosts go on a 9-0 run to cut their deficit to 15, the Hawks stepped back on the gas in the fourth to coast to a 25-point victory inside the Reilly Center.
• For the second time in as many games, Mackenzie Smith paced the Hawks with 18 of her game-high 20 points coming in the first half. Laura Ziegler posted her fourth double-double in a row, while Aleah Snead pitched in with a career-high nine points off the bench.

Laura Ziegler has posted double-doubles in each of her last four games, averaging 17.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
Mackenzie Smith has averaged 14.5 points over the last six games, shooting at more than a 50% clip from the field.
• Brugler sits at third in the A-10 in points per game (16.3), shooting at a 55.4% clip on the season for the best percentage in the conference.
Aleah Snead played a season-high 19 minutes at St. Bonaventure, shooting 4-5 from the field for a season-best nine points.
• St. Joe's ranks first in the A-10, 23rd in the country, in turnovers per game (12.9) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.14).

• Davidson is one of the best shooting teams in the conference, ranking second in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage by knocking down 45.1% of its attempts on the season. The strong start to the year sees the Wildcats with a 13.9 point scoring margin. Davidson allows just 54.7 points per game, ranking 20th in the country. A strong non-conference campaign saw the Wildcats go 11-1 with non-conference wins against Duke and Wake Forest.
• Offensively, Suzi-Rose Deegan paces the Wildcats with a team-high 13.3 point per game. The fifth-year guard shoots 46.8% from the field, adding 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Elle Sutphin entered the season with Preseason All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors, averaging 12.6 points on the year.
• Charlise Dunn and Millie Prior add double-digit scoring with 12.0 and 10.8 points respectively, both leading the Wildcats in rebounding. Prior grabs 7.5 rebounds per game, while Dunn adds 6.2 boards per night. Issy Morgan adds 8.3 points and leads the team with 63 assists.
