Olivia Benzing scored her first collegiate goal as the Hawks downed St. Bonaventure, 1-0, on Senior Day at Sweeney Field.
How It Happened
• In a game dominated by St. Joe's, the Bonnies had the first scoring chance, but a shot by Torri Grant-Clavijo was turned away by the Hawks'
Katie Cappelletti.
• Saint Joseph's soon took control, putting together 10 scoring chances throughout the first half, but none found the back of the net.
• The Hawks broke through on their 11th opportunity as Benzing scored from inside the box at 34:21 to make it 1-0.
• St. Joe's carried over its momentum into the second half as it out shot the Bonnies 10-0.
• St. Bonaventure pressed forward in the final minutes, but the Hawks' defense never allowed a shot.
