ST. LOUIS – The fifth-seeded Saint Joseph's women's soccer team battled top seed Saint Louis for 90 minutes in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Wednesday evening, but the host Billikens prevailed in the end, 2-0, at Hermann Stadium.

• Saint Joseph's had a scoring chance early, but a shot by
Emily Hanrahan was turned away by Saint Louis goalkeeper Emily Puricelli.
• The Billikens tallied the first goal of the match at 20:14 as the Hawks'
Katie Cappelletti made a sprawling save, but Saint Louis' Julia Simon pounced on the rebound and directed a shot into the back of the net to make it 1-0.
• Saint Louis looked to add to its lead early in the second half, but the Saint Joseph's defense made a goal-line save on a shot by Sophia Stram to keep it a one-goal match.
• Emily Gaebe broke through to make it 2-0 in favor of the Billikens at 62:08 as she scored from inside the box off a pass from Hannah Larson.
