PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's team honors five seniors on Saturday afternoon as the Hawks welcome Rhode Island to Hagan Arena.

• Despite a strong opening half for the Hawks inside the Siegel Center, the lids closed on the basket in the second half as VCU completed a 13-point comeback to give the Hawks their first road loss of the season in a 59-48 defeat.
• With each team trading punches over the course of the first 15 minutes, the Hawks used a late second quarter run to build a 36-23 advantage headed into the break. St. Joe's went 1-16 to come out in the third quarter, VCU overturning its deficit into a two-point advantage headed into the fourth, a lead it would never give up as the Hawks couldn't regain the first half rhythm.

Tenin Magassa proves an elite rim protector for the Rams, blocking ore than two shots a game to rank 21st in the country.
