ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell to Seton Hall on Wednesday, dropping a close match by a 4-3 score.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Seton Hall claimed victories in the first and third doubles flights to take the first point of the match.
Ireland Amato and
Sophia Amato were winners in the second flight, taking a 6-4 result.
• Saint Joseph's found more success in singles play, as
Victoria Tracey earned a three-set win in the second flight, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
Charlotte Kordonowy came from behind for a 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 tiebreaker win in the fourth, while
Ireland Amato rallied for a 3-6, 6-2, 10-3 win in the sixth.
• Unfortunately for the Hawks, the Pirates claimed wins in the other three flights to secure the match victory.
