WASHINGTON, D.C. – Saint Joseph's
Sarah Cancila collected her 100th career hit as the Hawks split its series-opening doubleheader at George Washington on Saturday. The Revolutionaries won the opener, 4-3, but St. Joe's earned a 1-0 victory in game two.
How It Happened - Game One
• Entering the game with 99 career hits, Cancila quickly reached the milestone with a RBI triple in the top of the first to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
• Cancila scored later in the first on a sacrifice fly by
Riley York to make it 2-0.
• The Hawks opened a 3-0 lead in the top of the sixth as Cancila scored on a RBI single
Hailey Malito.
• George Washington made it 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth as Maggie Greco scored on a RBI single by Alexa Williams.
• The Revolutionaries would plate three runs on a RBI double by Greco and two-run single by Allison Heffley in the bottom of the seventh to earn the 4-3 win.
Inside The Boxscore - Game One
• Cancila went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and a RBI.
• Malito and York were both 1-for-32 with a RBI.

Emily Siler moved to 8-6 as she allowed four runs on eight hits, while striking out four.
How It Happened - Game Two
• Saint Joseph's struck for the game's lone run in the top of the third as
Nicole Bondoc scored on a bunt single by
Gianna Muhaw that was misplayed by the Revolutionaries.
• George Washington would get a runner on in each of the following innings, but Saint Joseph's starter
Taylor Trowbridge and the Hawks' defense kept the score at 1-0.
• In the bottom of the seventh, the Revs got a one-out single, but Trowbridge induced a ground out and pop out to end the game.Â
Inside The Boxscore - Game Two
• Trowbridge scattered five hits over 7.0 innings, while striking out four to earn the complete game victory and improve to 8-6.
• Muhaw was 1-for-3 with a RBI.
• Bondoc was 1-for-2 with a run scored.
