MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team ended its weekend homestand on Sunday, falling to Rhode Island, 4-0, at the SJU Tennis Complex.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Rams took the first two doubles flights to clinch the first point of the day.
 
• In singles play, Fabiana Tort-Umpierre and Charlotte Kordonowy won the first set in the second and fourth flights, respectively, but play was halted after URI earned the requisite three match victories.
 
HAWK TALK
"They took it to us in doubles," head coach Jeff Puhan said.  "We brought good energy in singles play and competed a lot better today."
 
UP NEXT
The Hawk visit Morgan State on Tuesday.
