Men’s Tennis Vaults Past Morgan State, 5-2

BALTIMORE – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team used a complete team performance on Tuesday to earn a 5-2 road win over Morgan State.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks grabbed the doubles point for the early lead.  John Butler and Eli Gan-Dy were 6-2 winners in the second flight before Justus Agbo and Stergios Achilleas Papadopoulos took a 6-4 result in the third to seal the point.
 
Othman Bezzaz cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 result in the third flight to double the Hawk advantage, but the Bears claimed the top two flights to draw level.
 
• Jack Cambell rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win in the fifth flight to put the Hawks back in front before Mark Rubin took a 6-1, 6-3 result in the sixth to clinch the victory.  Papadopoulos added a final point with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 come-from-behind win in the fourth as well.
 
HAWK TALK
"It was a great team win today," head coach Jeff Puhan said.  "We came out strong to win the doubles point and followed that up with great effort in singles play.  Now onto Fordham!"
 
UP NEXT
The Hawks close out the regular season on Saturday at Fordham.
