RICHMOND, Va. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team defeated Duquesne, 4-2, in a neutral court match at VCU on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Dukes took the early lead by securing wins in the second and third doubles flights.
• The Hawks bounced back in singles play, with
Othman Bezzaz,
Sehaj Singh Pawar, and
Jakob Gaudreau Barnes earning straight-sets wins in the fourth, fifth, and sixth flights, respectively.
• Duquesne got back within one with a win in the third flight, but
Santiago Valle clinched the match with a straight-sets win in the first flight.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will close out the regular season with a match against VCU on Saturday.
