BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's softball team capped the non-conference portion of its schedule as the Hawks fell to the Mountain Hawks, 8-2, on Wednesday afternoon at Leadership Park.
How It Happened
• Lehigh took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first as the Mountain Hawks plated three runs on two hits and took advantage of a pair of St. Joe's errors.
• Saint Joseph's cut Lehigh's lead to one, 3-2, on a two-run double by
Lauren Pscolka in the top of the second.
• A pair of fielding miscues by the Hawks allowed Lehigh to expand its lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the third.
• Josie Charles and Gracie Smith followed with RBIs later in the third to extend the Mountain Hawks' advantage to 8-2.
