Saint Joseph's Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director Eric Laudano has announced two additions to the Hawks' High Performance department with the additions of Head Men's Basketball Athletic Trainer
Nick Coyle and Assistant Athletic Trainer
Elyse Franco.
Coyle comes to Hawk Hill after serving as head athletic trainer for the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League the past four seasons. In his new role, Coyle will lead all clinical and administrative aspects of player care for the Saint Joseph's men's basketball program as a member of the Hawks' High Performance team. Coyle will play a pivotal role working closely with the men's basketball coaching staff and all members of the integrated healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to physical health and mental wellness is at the forefront of player health.
Prior to the Blue Coats, Coyle's professional sport experience included stints with the Santa Cruz Warriors, Atlanta Falcons, and Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League. In addition to his professional sports experience, Coyle spent time in the collegiate sports setting as an assistant athletic trainer at Tusculum University. A 2016 graduate from Graceland University with a bachelor's degree in athletic training, Coyle earned a master's degree in physical education from the University of North Georgia in 2018.
Franco joins St. Joe's after spending the past two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Chestnut Hill College. In her new position, Franco will work directly with the Hawks' men's soccer, and men's and women's track and cross country programs. Prior to Chestnut Hill, Franco was an athletic trainer with St. Luke University Health Network and interned with the athletic training staff at Lafayette College. Franco earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and exercise science (2017) and master's degree in athletic training (2022) from East Stroudsburg University, where she began her athletic training career as an intern while a graduate student.
