AT THE TIP
  • The Hawks return to Hawk Hill on a seven-game win streak on Wednesday, hosting Duquesne inside Hagan Arena.
  • St. Joe's comes off a pair of wins on the road, comfortably coasting by La Salle at John Glaser Arena on Saturday in an 85-49 victory.

LAST TIME OUT
  • ALaura Ziegler recorded a career-high 17 rebounds to go along with her game-high 22 points to help lead the Saint Joseph's women's basketball team to a dominant 85-49 display over La Salle inside John Glaser Arena on Sunday afternoon.
  • La Salle jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but it would soon dissolve as the Hawks scored 22 of the next 24 points en route to a 20-point halftime lead. Saint Joseph's kept its foot on the gas to start the third, shooting 70% over the quarter to extend its lead. The Hawks led by as many as 39 en route to the seventh-consecutive victory.
  • Ziegler bested her previous-high of 16 rebounds set on four separate occasions. Mackenzie Smith and Gabby Casey each scored 15 points on a combined 11-16 (68.8%) from the floor while Aleah Snead and Paula Maurina each chipped in eight points.

HAWKS IN THE NCAA RANKS
  • Laura Ziegler sits in a tie for second all-time with 32 career double-doubles, two shy of last year's output of 13 on the season. The junior ranks sixth in the country with 11.6 rebounds per game, leading the NCAA with 9.5 defensive rebounds per game.
  • Emma Boslet ranks second in the Atlantic 10 and 20th in the NCAA in assist/turnover ratio (2.62)
  • The Hawks are 10th as a team in assist/turnover ratio (1.45) while the 19.1 assists per game rank 11th in the country.
  • St. Joe's ranks fourth in the country in free throw percentage (81.0%) and eighth in three-point percentage (38.4%).
  • Mackenzie Smith enters the matchup with a 47.4% clip from three-pointers, ranking ninth in the country.
  • Only Creighton (82.1%) has had a better free throw percentage since the start of the 2023-24 season than Saint Joseph's (80.9%).

MILESTONE MARKS
  • Laura Ziegler recorded her 1,000th career point against VCU, becoming the 31st player in program history to reach 1,000 points. Ziegler became the fourth-fastest player (74) to the milestone, only Dale Hodges (53), Susan Moran (64) and Talya Brugler (72) reaching 1,000 points quicker than the Herlev, Denmark native.
  • Ziegler also moved to ninth all-time in program history in career rebounds (725) and blocks (82).
  • Mackenzie Smith became the 12th player in program history with 100 starts in her career against VCU. Talya Brugler was the 13th player to record a century starts against La Salle.
  • Talya Brugler is 50 points shy of entering top five in program history in scoring, while Mackenzie Smith needs two points to move into the top 10.

SERIES REWIND
  • St. Joe's and Duquesne meet for the 63rd time in series history, the Hawks holding a 49-13 advantage heading into Wednesday's matchup.
  • The Hawks hold a 30-3 record all-time at home, winning the first 27 games hosted in Philadelphia.
