OPENING TIP
The Hawks are 4-0 in road openers over the last four seasons after delivering a 63-62 win at Maine. Since 2022-23, the Hawks are 19-1 in the month of November.
Gabby Casey led the team against the Black Bears with 19 points and nine rebounds, one of four Hawks to score in double figures.
Faith Stinson scored a season-best 16 points, while
Rhian Stokes and
Jill Jekot each added 11 points in the narrow win.
Tuesday marks the 45th meeting against members of the current iteration of the Big 12 Conference.. The Hawks enter the game with a 25-19 record, earning wins over West Virginia (18), Kansas State (2), BYU (1), Texas Tech (1), Kansas (1), Arizona (1) and Houston (1).
The Hawks lead the nation with an 85.4 percent assist rate, registering assists on 41 of their 48 field goals through the opening two games of the season.
Cincinnati enters Hagan Arena 0-2, with narrow losses to Lehigh and Penn State to start the year. The Bearcats are shooting a staggering 43.9 percent from 3-point range, averaging 81 points per game over the opening two games. Mya Perry leads Cincinnati with 23 points per game, one of four Bearcats averaging at least 12.
NO NONSENSE IN THE NON-CONFERENCE
Over the past four seasons, the Hawks have posted a 32-5 record in non-conference play with nine or more wins in each of the first three years. St. Joe's is 19-1 in that span in games in November.
NEW ERA BEGINS IN 2025-26
The Hawks look to replace four players from last year's starting lineup. Only
Gabby Casey (33) entered the season having started seven or more games last year.
Aleah Snead (6),
Rhian Stokes (4) and
Kaylie Griffin (1) also made starts in 2024-25.
The 2024-25 season ended with the departure of three players who all ranked among the program's top 11 all-time scorers, who combined for 4,737 points.
Faith Stinson joined St. Joe's as the leading scorer on the team with 565 career points.
Gabby Casey entered the season as St. Joe's top returning scorer with 390 points.
Saint Joseph's has 15 players on the 2025-26 roster, representing four states and four countries excluding the United States.
Amar Mansour (Lebanon) and
Emirson Devenie (Australia) are the first Hawks to represent those countries, while Meja Jägerskog (Sweden) and
Olivia Lutterodt (Denmark) are each the second player to join the program from their respective countries.
Eight newcomers joined the Hawks over the offseason, four coming by way of the transfer portal while Coach Griffin and company signed four freshmen to the team.
