ST. LOUIS – The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team had five players score in double figures, but the Saint Louis Billikens shot at a historic pace from beyond the arc as the Hawks were downed 102-79 on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a tough start that saw the teams combine to go 0-for-5 from the floor in the first two minutes, each squad began to find the bottom of the net. In the next eight-plus minutes, the Hawks went 8-for-13 from the floor, however, the Billikens were 9-for-10 in the same stretch as Saint Louis held a 22-20 lead at the second media timeout.
- Despite holding a +6 rebounding advantage in the opening half and some solid defense for St. Joe's, Saint Louis continued to make shots at an incredible clip as the Billikens took a 49-40 lead into the locker room.
- In the second half, SLU continued to drain shots at a near-record clip, doubling the halftime lead in five minutes and maintaining the advantage through the remainder of the game.
