AT THE TIP
  • The Hawks return Hagan Arena in a nationally-televised matchup against George Mason on Sunday afternoon.
  • Sunday's game will be broadcasted on ESPNU and will mark the third game of the season that St. Joe's has been nationally televised.
  • Saint Joseph's comes off the back of two-consecutive defeats on the road against Richmond and Rhode Island. The Hawks haven't lost three-consecutive games since January of 2023.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Hawks suffered defeat on Wednesday evening, falling to Rhode Island 70-65 inside the Thomas M. Ryan Center.
  • Five lead changes and seven ties encompassed the first 20 minutes in a back-and-forth battle between the teams. The Hawks led by six in the fourth quarter after a three on the opening possession pushed the advantage to 58-52. The Hawks went cold, finishing 1-11 from the field over the final nine minutes as Rhode Island was able to overcome the deficit to earn a 70-65 win.
  • Rhian Stokes and Laura Ziegler each paced the Hawks with 15 points on the evening. Mackenzie Smith added 11 points in the defeat.

HAWK NOTES
  • Laura Ziegler has scored 10+ points in 25 of 26 games this season. The junior is second all-time in program history with 38 double-doubles in her career. Currently, Ziegler ranks fifth in the country with 11.2 rebounds per game, while her 9.7 defensive boards per contest leads the NCAA.
  • Mackenzie Smith and Talya Brugler were named to the watch list for the 2025 Women's College All-Star Game presented by Herbalife, which is awarded to players in their final years of eligibility. 
  • Smith has registered 15 games this season with 15+ points, including three in the last four games.
  • Ziegler (18.3) and Smith (15.1) rank in the top 10 in scoring in the conference.  Smith currently leads the A-10 in three-point percentage (45.1%).
  • St. Joe's shoots 36.0 percent from three on the season, ranking 25th in the NCAA.
  • The Hawks are 18th in the NCAA as a team in assist/turnover ratio (1.28) and 17.7 assists per game.
  • St. Joe's enters allowing opponents to just 55.0 points per game, leading the conference and ranking 14th in the country.

MILESTONE MARKS
  • Laura Ziegler ranks fifth all-time in program history with 853 career rebounds and is tied for sixth with 95 career blocks. Ziegler's 1,283 points ranks 14th in school history.
  • Mackenzie Smith became the third Hawk on the roster to record 500 career rebounds at Rhode Island, joining Talya Brugler and Ziegler.
  • Brugler is 12 points shy of entering top five in program history in scoring, while Mackenzie Smith ranks seventh in school history with 1,521 career points.

SERIES REWIND
  • Saint Joseph's hosts George Mason inside Hagan Arena for the first time in five years, meeting in four-consecutive matchups on the road prior to the Patriots' visit to Hawk Hill on Sunday.
  • The Hawks hold a 12-6 advantage in the series, moving to 5-3 on the road earlier this season. St. Joe's is 4-3 at home and is a perfect 3-0 on neutral territory.
  • All of the last eight meetings have been decided by single digits, St. Joe's holding a 4-4 record in that span.
  • Talya Brugler led the Hawks with 18 points to fuel the 61-55 victory earlier this season, while Laura Ziegler added 16 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
