AT THE TIP
  • The Hawks host Richmond in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon inside Hagan Arena, honoring four seniors prior to opening tip.
  • Talya Brugler, Kaylie Griffin, Julia Nyström and Mackenzie Smith will be recognized before the game, the four combining for 385 games played in their St. Joe's career.
  • A win would guarantee a double-bye in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. The Hawks can finish anywhere between second and fifth headed into the final day of the season.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Saint Joseph's women's basketball team suffered defeat on the road on Wednesday evening, falling 74-65 to Dayton inside UD Arena.
  • The Hawks opened the game with a barrage of threes, five different Hawks burying a triple to open the game on a 20-2 run. Dayton worked its way back in the game, overcoming the deficit for a 38-35 halftime advantage. A 9-0 run from the Hawks to open the half was countered by a 9-2 spurt from the Flyers in the third. A 13-0 Dayton run that spanned between the third and fourth quarter, built the host's advantage to as many as 14 points. The Hawks were unable to trim the deficit enough to launch a comeback, falling 74-65.
  • Gabby Casey led the Hawks with a team-high 15 points, adding eight rebounds. Aleah Snead added 14 points while Tayla Brugler finished with nine points, six rebounds and five assists.

HAWK NOTES
  • Laura Ziegler has scored 10+ points in 26 of 28 games this season. The junior is second all-time in program history with 38 double-doubles in her career. Currently, Ziegler ranks 10th in the country with 10.9 rebounds per game, while her 9.2 defensive boards per contest is second in the NCAA.
  • Smith has registered 15 games this season with 15+ points, leading the conference in three point shooting at 44.6 percent (min. 2 made per game).
  • Ziegler (18.0) and Smith (14.6) rank in the top 10 in scoring in the conference. Ziegler also ranks first in rebounding and is fourth in assists per game (4.3).
  • St. Joe's shoots 36.0 percent from three on the season, ranking 28th in the NCAA.
  • The Hawks are 18th in the NCAA as a team in assist/turnover ratio (1.29) and 17.8 assists per game.
  • St. Joe's enters allowing opponents to just 56.1 points per game, leading the conference and ranking 25th in the country.

MILESTONE MARKS
  • Laura Ziegler ranks fifth all-time in program history with 866 career rebounds and is sixth with 97 career blocks. Ziegler's 1,312 points ranks 13th in school history.
  • Mackenzie Smith became the third Hawk on the roster to record 500 career rebounds at Rhode Island, joining Talya Brugler and Ziegler. Smith's 116 career starts put her in fifth all-time in program history and would enter her into the top five for most appearances (124) for St. Joe's against Richmond.
  • Brugler surpassed Katie Curry for fourth in scoring in program history and is just 17 points shy from Teresa Carmichael in third place. Mackenzie Smith ranks seventh in school history with 1,537 career points.

SERIES REWIND
  • Saint Joseph's looks to disrupt a three-game losing streak to Richmond on Saturday afternoon inside of Hagan Arena, holding a 17-11 overall record in the series against the Spiders.
  • The home teams hold winning records on each side of the matchup, the Hawks entering the game with an 11-3 record inside of friendly confines.
  • St. Joe's and Richmond met earlier this month in a back-and-forth contest at the Robins Center. The Spiders were able to grab a late lead and were able to fend off a comeback from the Hawks in a 59-51 win.
