MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team fell to Lehigh, 12-2, at Smithson Field on Tuesday in the Hawks' final tune-up before conference play gets underway.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Lehigh (6-5) opened the scoring with a four-spot in the top of the third and followed it up with another in the fourth to double the lead.

• Saint Joseph's (5-10) got on the board in the fourth on a solo home run by
Sam Meyer. The Hawks tacked on one more in the fifth as
Kieran Kehoe led off with a double, advanced on a sacrifice bunt by
Colin Myers, and came in to score on a wild pitch.

• The Mountain Hawks got one back in the sixth before scoring three more in the ninth to pad the advantage and set the final score.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Grady Golier got the win for Lehigh, while
Matt Fitzgibbon took the loss for the Hawks. Cole Kochanowicz tossed three shutout innings to cap off the game for the save.

• Kehoe and
Blake Primrose collected two hits each for the Hawks. Meyer's home run was his third of the season, extending his team lead.

Antonio Dominici, and
Matt Speicher made their collegiate debuts for the Hawks, while Kehoe's double marked his first collegiate hit.
