St. Joe's finished the regular season with 23 wins, the third-consecutive season that the Hawks reached at least 20 wins on the year. In Atlantic 10 play, the Hawks finished 12-6 and earned the No. 4 seed at the A-10 Tournament. St. Joe's defeated Rhode Island in overtime and upset top-ranked Richmond in the semifinals, before falling to George Mason in the championship game.

During non-conference play, the 2024-25 squad went 9-2, highlighted by a 14-point win over ACC foe Syracuse inside the JMA Wireless Dome and capturing the Hawk Classic title for the second-consecutive season after beating Howard and College of Charleston.

St. Joe's earned its 15th postseason appearance under the direction of head coach Cindy Griffin, the first back-to-back-to-back postseason appearance since a five-year span between the 2009-10 and 2013-14 seasons. Griffin has earned more than half of the Hawks' 27 postseason bids during her time on the sidelines.

On the other side of the bracket, the winner between St. Joe's and UAlbany faces either No. 4 Villanova or Boston College in the second round.

First round play is scheduled for Thursday, March 20, with the second round on March 23. Quarterfinals will be held on March 27, with four teams advancing to Hinkle Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University for the semifinals on Monday, March 31. The WBIT will conclude with the championship game on Wednesday, April 2.

Preliminary WBIT games are being televised on ESPN+, while the semifinals will be on ESPNU, and the finals will be on ESPN2. Additional WBIT information can be found on ncaa.com/WBIT.
