CARSON, Calif. – Saint Joseph's graduate goalkeeper
Jorden Concordia became the all-time saves leader in program history in an 18-5 defeat to #24 USC on Tuesday afternoon at Dignity Health Park.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Riley Miller opened the scoring inside 40 seconds to give the Hawks an early lead before the Trojans responded with four goals in a six-minute span.
- Sarah Groark connected on a feed from Kate Fuhrman to cut the deficit to two, but the hosts rattled off the next six goals to end the half with a 10-2 advantage.
- USC recorded seven unanswered goals on the other side of the break to cap a 13-0 run before Alexa Capozzoli found the back of the net.
- Furhman and Groark each scored a consolation goal as the Hawks dropped the final game of their trip out west.
GAME NOTES
- Three Hawks finished with two points on the afternoon, Groark leading the scoring with two goals. Capozzoli and Fuhrman each finished with a goal and an assist.
- Jorden Concordia entered the contest with a share of the program record of 627 saves held by Brandy Meyers (1995-98). The Webster, N.Y. native tallied three saves in the defeat to put her atop the program leaderboard, adding three ground balls in defeat.
- St. Joe's was outshot 31-18 by USC, including a 21-11 discrepancy in shots on target. The Trojans won battle at the draw by an 18-8 margin.

The Hawks return to Sweeney Field on Saturday, March 8 to take on Davidson in the Atlantic 10 opener. First draw is slated for noon.
