WASHINGTON – Saint Joseph's sophomore Santiago Valle and freshman Damir Abdusamadov were named the Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Valle and Abdusamadov teamed up for a 7-6 (6) win in the second doubles flight to help the Hawks earn the first point of the day against Drexel on Saturday morning.  Valle, a native of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, won his second-flight match, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (6), before Abdusamadov, who hails from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, clinched the overall victory with a 7-6 (5), 5-7, 7-6 (5) victory in the third flight.
 
The Hawks are idle until Saturday when they visit Penn State.
